My Favorite Things about DogSheetz

Posted by Amy Hempe on

I have two dogs. Two big dogs. Two big, messy dogs. They are dogs who roll in dead grass and love mud. If there is a puddle or a pond near by, they are jumping in.  And of course, they hate baths.

I try to clean them off as they come into the house, but with the addition of a new dog door, they are now in charge of their coming and going. This means I have messy dog debris strewn from the back door to the sofa.

I am not one to put plastic on the floor or carpet -  that's not possible for any sane dog owner (or a sane non dog owner, but that's a topic for a much different blog). I sweep and vacuum up after them daily which is a task unto itself. Fortunately, my cleaning and frustration ends with the sofa.

I don't have a magic sofa but I do have DogSheetz protecting the cushions and pillows. The dog bed cover fits perfectly around the main cushions. No matter how much turning around the pups have to do before finally lying down, the dog bed cover stays put. A regular blanket would simply get pulled and dragged out of place. But like a fitted bed sheet, this can handle the wear and tear of an actual sleeper (or sitter or barker).

On the back of the sofa I put the DogSheetz blanket. It keeps this area clean and covers a fair bit of sofa real estate. If you want, stretch it across a big dog bed as well. It is large enough for two big dogs to lie on.

And it is soft! You may want to use it yourself! The dog bed cover and blanket are made from the same patented material - it is super absorbent and protects whatever is lying beneath it. This means that dog drools, dog spills, dog accidents, dog tummy upsets - all can occur without any fear of harming the material underneath whether it's your sofa, your bed, or your carpet.

Finally, the neutral slate color makes DogSheetz perfect for just about any decor. It can match your taste and style and never appear jarring. Wash them in a machine on cold and let them air dry - and amazingly enough, they dry very quickly!

Whether you use these for a dog bed or as furniture protection, DogSheetz are an invaluable investment.
